/// THE DOSSIER
Diane, it’s… well past midnight
Wake Up Dale Cooper began in the eighteen hours we spent begging a man to remember his own name. He sat in a casino, in a suit two sizes wrong, and we waited. And waited. The waiting became the music.
This is ambient synth for the in-between: the convenience store, the waiting room, the gap between one world and the next. The first record takes themes you already know, from video games and television, and slows them until they dream. Familiar melodies, returned to you wrong, warm, and humming under sodium light.
There is always music in the air. We are simply turning up the part you weren’t meant to hear.

/// THE QUESTIONS
What you keep asking in your sleep
What is Wake Up Dale Cooper?
Wake Up Dale Cooper is an ambient synth and darkwave music project, conceived as an unofficial homage to David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks. The debut record reimagines well-known video game and television themes as slow, atmospheric ambient synth.
Is this connected to Twin Peaks?
It’s an unofficial, fan-made homage inspired by Twin Peaks. Wake Up Dale Cooper is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by David Lynch, Mark Frost, Showtime, CBS, or any official Twin Peaks rights holders.
What does “Wake Up Dale Cooper” mean?
It nods to Twin Peaks: The Return, in which Agent Dale Cooper spends most of the season trapped in the identity of Dougie Jones while the audience waited… and waited… for him to wake up. We turned that long, dreamlike wait into music.
What genre is it?
Ambient synth and darkwave, with drone, dream pop, and synthwave around the edges. Slow, cinematic, dread-soaked, built for the space between waking and dreaming.
